Hello World, Meet Gen Beta
Inside: Wardrobe Banter in Z-Brand Spotlight

šš½ EDITORāS NOTE
TGIF! š
Itās a big week for Gen Z this week! We found out what our kids are gonna be calledāGen Beta. Cute right? š„ŗ Nah. But while it still sounds like the name of a tech gadget, brands are already preparing for the coming of this generation, which includes people born between 2024 and 2039. Check out the hot topics section to learn more.
The announcement of Gen Beta got me thinking about what kinds of parents Gen Zs would be. We Gen Zs talk a lot about the damage our parents did to us by heaping their unresolved trauma and the flawed social expectations of their time onto our backs while we were kids. Only now, as weāre adulting, are we able to find the tools and language to properly deal with our congenital baggage.
As a generation, how are we preparing for Gen Beta? How is Gen Z going to be different from the generations before us in creating a safer, cleaner, more equal world where everyone has the freedom to be themselves and pursue their dreams? How are we going beyond loud campaigns and backing them up with tangible action that actually drives social impact? What will Gen Beta think of what weāre doing with the world we inherited and have been given to safeguard for them?
These are some of the questions weāre thinking about at Kenga and over the next few months, weāll be sharing some of the answers weāve found to some of them. Exciting stuff ahead!
